Nuvelo Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 April 2026

Nuvelo respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian law. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have.

Data controller

Information we collect

• Account details (name, email, profile information from sign-in providers — see below).
• Listings you create (title, description, category, price, location, images).
• Messages and communication metadata.
• Technical information (IP address, browser type, device characteristics).

Sign in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google on Nuvelo, Google authenticates you and shares limited profile information with us so we can create or sign you into your Nuvelo account. We do not receive your Google password.

Google data we may receive:

• Email address (required to identify your account)
• Display name
• Profile picture URL (if you have one on Google)
• A unique Google account identifier used only for login

How we use it:

• Create and manage your Nuvelo account
• Sign you in on web and mobile with the same account
• Display your name and avatar on your profile and listings where you choose
• Prevent fraud and duplicate accounts

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or other Google services. We only request the minimum information needed for sign-in.

Authentication is processed through our auth provider (Supabase). Google user data is stored in our secure database only as part of your Nuvelo account. You can stop using Google sign-in by signing out, deleting your Nuvelo account (see Account and data deletion), or revoking Nuvelo’s access in your Google Account permissions.

Google’s use of information is described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Nuvelo’s use of data received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

• Provide marketplace features (browse, post, message, account management).
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and spam.
• Respond to support requests and enforce our policies.
• Improve platform performance and security.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, authentication) and when required by law.

Data retention

We retain account and listing data while your account is active and for a limited period afterward for disputes, legal obligations, and fraud prevention.

Your GDPR rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data. Contact privacy@nuvelo.one.

Account and data deletion

You can delete your Nuvelo account and associated personal data at any time:

1. Sign in at nuvelo.one.
2. Open Profile → Settings.
3. Use the account deletion option, or email privacy@nuvelo.one with the subject Delete my account from your registered email address.

We will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example fraud prevention or legal claims). Listings and messages may be removed or anonymized as part of this process.
